How long will it take to find out if my application is approved?
Once all application paperwork is completed, an application is approved or denied within 24-48 hours.
What is the required security deposit?
The security deposit is based on credit. Standard approval is a $500 refundable security deposit and conditional approval requires a refundable one month's rent security deposit.
What is Sure Deposit?
SureDeposit is a program that allows residents to move in for less money up front than a traditional security deposit would require. Instead of paying a standard refundable security deposit of $500 or one month’s rent, the resident has the option to pay a non-refundable premium of $175 for standard approval or $175 non-refundable + $500 refundable for conditional approval. This non-refundable premium, purchases a surety bond that provides protection to the management company in the event that the resident moves out owing money or damages.
What does the restoration fee cover?
The $200 restoration fee reserves your apartment during the application process and becomes a non-refundable restoration fee at move in. At move out, the restoration fee covers the carpet cleaning, and basic apartment cleaning. The restoration fee does not cover damage caused by pets.
Do you allow pets?
We allow up to 2 pets. Pets must be no more than 100 pounds on first floors and no more than 60 pounds on second and third floors. The following breed restrictions do apply: Reptiles, Rodents (including ferrets), Rottweilers, Doberman Pincers, Pit Bulls, Wolf Hybrid, Alaskan Malamute, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Siberian Husky, Presa Canario, Cane Corso, Mastiff, Bull Mastiff, Staffordshire Terrier, or Chows, unless used as a service animal.
What utilities are included?
Salem Wood Apartments charges a $40 utility fee for water, sewer, and trash removal. The resident is responsible for payment of the electricity, which MUST be transferred to the residents name before the day of move-in. Other utilities such as cable, internet, or phone service are the residents responsibility. Please see below for contact information for local utility providers:
Who do I get my telephone, internet, and cable through?
Comcast is the digital cable provider in our area. Telephone service can also be set up through Verizon. Satellite television is an option for select apartment homes, which have the necessary view for signal to be acquired. Installation restrictions and renter’s insurance requirements do apply to satellite subscribers.
